Error: The section could not be added... (due to blank worksheet section).
Error:
The section could not be added to the Binder. An unexpected communications error has occurred on the server.
Cause:
This error occurs when adding a blank Excel worksheet to Office Binder as a blank section and Excel is not running at the time the section is opened in Binder. When a section is started in Binder an 'invisible' instance of Excel runs which loads the add-ins. If more than four add-ins are loading, this error occurs.
Solution:
Start Excel before adding a Microsoft Excel to a Binder or decrease the number of add-ins that load at startup in Excel.
Do one of the following:
1) Launch Excel before opening a worksheet in Office Binder.
2) Decrease the number of add-ins that run when Excel starts:
a) Start Microsoft Excel.
b) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Add-Ins...'.
c) Clear any add-ins in the list box which do not have to be loaded automatically when Excel starts.
Clear add-ins
d) Click 'OK'.
